Char Dham Yatra completes with visiting four pilgrimage places. 
Badrinath, Dwaraka, Puri and Rameshwaram.
 But you can also visit Uttrakhand Char Dham Yatra which comprises of 
Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.
Uttarakhand char dham Yatra is situated at 4000 m above sea level.

Here you can also see the culture and folk tradition of Uttrakhand.

It is believ that Himalayas Char Dham Yatra  begins with Yamunotri Gangotri Kedarnath and then Badrinath.

1. Yamunotri Dham


Uttrakhand Yatra, begins with Yamunotri Dham. It is situated at 3250 m above sea level.
Champasar Glacier is known as the origin of river Yamuna.
This is a very sacred(holy) place, where tourists from all over India visit every Year.
Mostly people visit in summer so , there is lots of crowd in summer.


How to reach Yamunotri Dham


Haridwar is the first destination to reach Yamunotri, In Haridwar you will find various Hotels, Dharamshala available at various range.
You will fet all Facilities of road transportation. Yamunotri Dham is 246 kms away from Haridwar.


Gangotri Dham


Gangotri Dham  is the second destination to complete your Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra.
Gangotri Dham is located at 3102 m above sea level.
It is also known as Bhagirathi Dham.
Origin of river (Ganga) is from a Glacier, 'Gomukh'. Which is 19 kms away from Gangotri Dham.


How to reach Gangotri Dham


Gangotri Dham is 223 kms away from Yamunotri.
To reach Gangotri Dham from Yamunotri you have to come back to Dharasu, then from Dharasu to Uttarkashi and then to Gangotri.
From Haridwar you can directly reach to Gangotri Dham through Buses, taxis and cars .

Kedarnath Dham

 Kedarnath Dham is situated at the confluence of Mandakini and Saraswati river. Kedarnath Dham is situated at an elevation of 3553 m above sea level.
To reach Kedarnath, Gaurikund has to set a 16 kms climb.


How to reach Kedarnath


To reach Kedarnath from Gangotri Dham you have ti go through Uttarkashi, Tihari, Kirtinagar, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, Tilwada and then Kedarnath.
There are mainly three routes to reach Kedarnath fron Uttarkashi.
From Haridwar you can directly reach to Kedarnath Dham which is approx 250 kms.

Badrinath Dham

Badrinath Dham is also Known as lord Vishnu's Dham.
Badrinath Dham is situated on the banks of river Alaknanda.
It is situated at the elevation of 3133 m above sea level.


How to reach Badrinath Dham 


From Kedarnath to Badrinath is approx. 41 kms .
You can find taxis from Kedarnath to Badrinath or by your own car.

From Haridwar you can directly reach to Badrinath.


Things to Remember


Char Dham Yatra of Uttrakhand is situated at high altitude . And in winter temperature mostly reaches in minus, you can also enjoy snowfall. There can be heavy rainfall in monsoon season. So, you should carry some warm clothes with yourself, some medicines.
There you also find health camp opened by Government. So, you need not to worry about most of the things .
